Shame prevents many others from being reported.And last but not least, it is estimated that at least two hundred serial killers are active in America at any one time. The debut novel by Geoffrey Girard, CAIN'S BLOOD, posits the theory that present day clones of America's most notorious serial killers have been created and released into our population. The next several years yielded an explosion of clones.In case you didn't know it, cloning of humans is completely legal in the United States. So what traits would be desirable in human cloning? Trillions of dollars have been funneled into this industry over the years. And who has a virtually unlimited budget that can be tapped for this project? The U.S. military. And why would they be so interested? Biological warfare. The problem is that nothing works out the way you want it to the first time. Or the second. Or the third. Many things can and do go wrong.Geoffrey Girard's debut novel is a stunning thriller with a premise grounded in reality. It tackles the age old question of "nature versus nurture". The result is a horror for all of human kind. A must read.
