Lilith's descendant is still struggling with her new role as penitent for the demon children. Lee finds herself ostracized from the film community after her involvement with the death of her previous producer. She is still financially struggling. Lee finally has to approach another stunt coordinator about employment despite significant emotional conflict. Her Uncle and Cousin are not thrilled by her decision.Lee's circumstances in this outing are complicated by ancestral memories, worries about Lilith's demon children and avoiding the death of innocent bystanders. This outing also has about three storylines that converge. The Urban Fantasy is set mainly in New Orleans, but the supernatural events occurring in the background are more horror based. This horror element is apparent in the HP Lovecraft influence especially the Cthulhu creature.Lee seems unsettled in her relationships which is not uncommon in orphaned children, but she is resolved when she sets a course of action. The men she deals with are "dicks" , considering the profession she is in and the casting couch mentality that is not surprising. Lee trying to be one of the guys will put up with alot of crap.The book is very entertaining. The action and characters are wonderful. The story is refreshing and makes it difficult to put the book down. I highly recommend this series.
