We love them for being real, but we hate them for their honesty. BTD takes no prisoners...they make us feel all of the emotions we've ever had. The acoustic songs are touching and intimate. It's not uncommon to hear people in the audience crying...or whispers of 'Dear Lord, that was great....Dear Lord.' Then suddenly they Rock us. And not in some wimpy ' We play acoustic guitars, but try and rock you.' sort of way.... More like that, 'Please forgive us for kicking you in the face.' sort of way. That's why we love them. On their newest offering, 'When the Blood and the Dust Settles.', BTD gives us 12 songs of Beautiful, Blistering, American music. Dark acoustic arrangements and whiskey drenched vocals set the stage for a look at lost love, small towns, and late night diners. Bigger Than Dallas seems to know how to touch us in the deepest parts of our souls...saying the things we always meant to say, but could never quite get out. Sometimes the honesty is brutal, but Bigger Than Dallas doesn't ask us to forgive their sins..because they know we have our own.
